NMLSP 2022: Numerical Methods for Large Scale Problems

Belgrade, June 6th - 10th, 2022

Dedicated to Professor Lothar Reichel (Kent State University, OHIO, USA) on the Occasion of his 70th Anniversary

The international conference NUMERICAL METHODS FOR LARGE SCALE PROBLEMS (NMLSP 2022) will be held in Belgrade, Serbia on June 6 - 10, 2022. Presentations will be delivered by researchers from the international community. The aim of the conference is to bring together leading scientists of the international Numerical and Applied Mathematics community and young researchers from all over the world working in mathematics and its applications to present their research, exchange ideas, discuss challenging issues, and foster future collaborations. The conference will cover many topics in Applied and Computational Mathematics with a focus on inverse problems, linear algebra, quadrature, approximation theory, numerical analysis, computational methods, uncertainty quantification, machine learning, and networks.

The conference will be held in HYBRID FORMAT at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) in Belgrade (on site & online).

All participants should register for the conference by clicking on the Registration (top right corner). Researchers are encouraged to submit their work electronically. For detailed instructions see tab 'Submission instruction'. Accepted abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts of the conference.

Full versions of the papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in the following journal (after the regular reviewing process):

  • Electronic Transactions on Numerical Analysis (ETNA)
  • News There will be a special volume of ETNA associated with the conference. We invite all conference participants and ETNA editors to submit a manuscript for this volume no later than December 1 this year. The papers will be refereed like ETNA submissions for the regular volume. All accepted papers for the NMLSP22 volume will be published in 2023 in the order of acceptance. It is desirable but not required that papers submitted to the NMLSP22 volume exploit some of the ETNA features: no page limitation, possibility to publish color images and videos, software papers. See the ETNA web page for more information.
It is helpful for the planning of the NMLSP22 volume if authors let Giuseppe Rodriguez (rodriguez@unica.it) know in advance if they plan to submit a paper for the volume (unless they already have done so).
  • NMLSP22 volume editors: Alessandro Buccini, Marco Donatelli, Miroslav Pranić, Ronny Ramlau, Giuseppe Rodriguez and Miodrag Spalević
